January Check-In (GYWO 2023)

this is my first time participating in anything like this that isn't nanowrimo or setting personal goals on a whim. and honestly, aside from keeping up with my goal according to the guidelines, i haven't really been active in the community built around it.

i've been feeling very hesitant about it all. and the decision i made this week to drop from one of the bts fic fests i was working on hasn't helped with that at all. its so hard to be kind to myself when i want so badly to write and can't get the words out, and when i see others writing ten, twenty, thirty times as much as i do. something i really need to work on.

i should be proud of the fact that i wrote anything at all. something is better than nothing.
